Frequently Asked Questions

To create an abstractBIM you need an Architect's BIM model as an IFC file with modeled spaces (IfcSpaces) - filling out all the empty space between the slabs and walls. Windows and Doors should be modeled as IfcWindow and IfcDoor.

Less than you save! We eliminate the manual post-processing time for the Building Information Model (BIM). Check out our pricing page for more information.

You can cancel your subscription anytime with a mail to info@abstract.build. Once the subscription is canceled, you will not be charged for the next billing period. You will continue to have access to your account and your account will change to the FREE tier.

Unfortunately, not. We do not issue full or partial refunds.

The following abstractions are made: + Inclined walls are currently not taken into account and are abstracted as vertical walls. + Complicated outer wall developments, for example with protrusions and recesses, are abstracted as simple geometry. + Sloping roofs are abstracted as flat roofs. + Ramps are projected onto the floor and abstracted as “flat”. + Several structures within a single file are combined into one building. + Windows and doors are only taken into account if they are correctly modeled as IfcWindow or IfcDoor. + Curtain walls, i.e., IfcCurtainWall, are not taken into account, yet.

Please contact us at info@abstract.build and we will look into it.
